“The Everlasting Flower”

Essential Oil users often refer to Helichrysum as "Liquid Stitches" and it is one you MUST have in your EO arsenal, save up for it if you need to, but be sure to get this one!

Helichrysum has been used for thousands of years in countries like Italy, Spain, Turkey, Portugal, and Bosnia. Today it continues to play an important healing role in the Mediterranean countries. It has a medium, rich, sweet, floral, earthy aroma. Some of its most popular uses are for supporting the healing of wounds, infections, digestive problems, and for supporting the nervous, cardiovascular, and respiratory systems.

Its anti-inflammatory properties make Helichrysum a good choice for supporting heart health. It supports blood vessels by lowering inflammation, increasing smooth muscle function, and lowering blood pressure. It has anticoagulant and anti-hematic properties which can be a blessing for those with thickening of the blood due to high cholesterol content and/or those who have an accumulation of blood or blood clots which result from a hemorrhage. Helichrysum has also been used to support detoxification of the kidneys and liver for centuries.

Helichrysum can hydrate burnt skin and assist in soothing the pain following sunburns. Its antibiotic and antimicrobial properties make it a wonderful choice for supporting the healing of acne prone skin. It promotes soft skin and supports the body in healing cracked skin. It supports your body in the healing process from cuts and wounds and helps clear scars and spots left from pox, boils, and other skin irregularities. Helichrysum promotes cell health, encourages the recycling of dead cells, and stimulates the production of new cells.

Clinical studies have shown that the compounds in Helichrysum assist in soothing the digestive tract, combating inflammation of the gut lining, promoting immune response, and assisting the body in fighting candida. It also assists in stimulating the secretion of gastric juices needed to digest food, helps neutralize acids, and helps to reduce bloating. Since a large portion of the immune system is located within the gut, it’s digestive supporting properties also helps boost immunity.

Helichrysum also supports the respiratory system as it provides warmth that loosens the deposition of phlegm and supports the relief of continuous cough and congestion. It helps to keep all the internal tracts moist and slippery, protecting from scratches and infections. This promotes the thinning of excess or hardened mucous and its removal.

Emotionally, Helichrysum is uplifting to the subconscious and may help cut through barriers of anger, allowing one to forgive trespasses and move forward in life. It encourages calm, acceptance, dreams, patience, perseverance, inner strength, and awareness. It opens our hearts to the unseen energies that affect our lives. Its spiritual purpose is to make self-exposure safe. It helps those who feel that their physical self has lost touch with their soul, those who fear reminiscing will bring up painful emotions.
